DON'T WORRY, PRAY!!

January 23, 2021

In this COVID-19 induced society, many have succumbed to heightened levels of stress and anxiety, due to a lack of understanding of the unpredictability of the virus. Over the past few months, new strains of the virus have surfaced, which has become even more contagious. This aggressive COVID-19 virus has, no doubt, forced us to amend our approach to life for mere survival. But even in the midst of the crisis, God is speaking to His children and tells us, "Fear not little ones. I’m God and My Throne is established forever. No Crisis nor virus can ever alter My mandates and My promises to you because My promises are always YES, and AMEN! The Lord has given us assurance of His Word in Philippians 4:6-7 NIV: “6 Do not be anxious for anything, but in every situation, by prayer and thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (NIV)  This passage of Scripture has taken me through some of life’s most turbulent terrains. Holy Spirit strengthened me with divine wisdom, knowledge, and understanding during those difficult days. I was also infused with great joy, peace, and grace to overcome.

Today, I want to encourage you to allow God’s Word to shape your responses during this COVID-19 crisis. While we may not fully grasp how God will use this crisis for the good of His people and His overall kingdom agenda, we must nonetheless trust Him. Our responsibility is to be obedient in praying and His responsibility is to perform His Word in our lives. I know it’s easier said than done but know that we are not without a Helper. The greatest part of our hope is that He lives on the inside of us to both “will and do” the work. He only needs our cooperation to manifest His peace through us. I can assure you that worrying will only intensify the situation. It is proven that worry causes a variety of medical and psychological maladies among others. The God who created us knows our frame and what is most beneficial to us. If we can trust the scientific views on worry, certainly we can trust the Word of God, as God existed before science. In fact, one of His many names is the Omniscient God, meaning all science/all-knowing. My prayer for you is that you will be afforded the same peace that the above passage of Scripture afforded me when the tides of life were too high and dangerous for me to navigate on my own. Don’t worry, pray and you will be amazed how God comes through for you in the midst of any crises.

Love and blessings to you,

Pastor Corine

AN INVITATION TO SEE THROUGH THE LENS OF FAITH!!

February 11, 2021

The book of Hebrews emphasizes in great detail, the supremacy of Jesus, the superiority of Christianity, and the legacy of faith among many unquestionable themes. In fact, Hebrews chapter 11 is often regarded as the “Hall of Faith” where we’re being admonished to live from God’s perspectives through the life experiences of the faithful men and women noted therein. As we climb the spiritual ladder of prayer and intercession, we will need to exercise great faith in order to perceive the reality of our prayers. Our goal and objective in prayer is not simply to utter vain, repetitious, and empty words but to pray with fervency, mixed with faith for supernatural outcomes. This requires not only a momentary eclipse, but a lifestyle of faith. God is in the business of “answered prayers” and we want to be the faithful recipients of divine answers when we step into the place of prayer.

Living a life of faith is intrinsic of the life God intends for every Believer. In fact, God gave to each man, a measure of faith because without faith, it is impossible to please Him (Romans 12:3, Hebrews 11:6). God also created us to rule, have dominion, subdue, and to reproduce ourselves in the earth. This magnitude of superiority among other religions on the earth can only be accomplished with the degree of faith applied to God’s ability through us. Unfortunately, many of us live beneath the standard that God established for us.

Nonetheless, God is calling us to shift to the “high place of faith.” He is no respecter of persons but wants to meet us in a place of faith. He is a righteous and just God and will always equip us for His assigned mandates. He affirmed this in 2 Peter 1:3-4 3 “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence 4 Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires” (NIV).

According to the above passage of Scripture in 2 Peter 2:3-4, we have many unclaimed, precious, and magnificent promises in the Word of God. However, faith must become the catalyst to unlock our promises. We must in this season, begin to step into a life of faith that is driven by tenacity and fortitude, passion and desire, discipline and focus, a life where all things are possible to them that believe. There are families, cities, nations, ministries, gifts, wealth, businesses, ideas, etc. that God wants to birth in us but we must rise up and be a people of faith that believes against all odds, the promises of God for His children. God wants us to establish a lifestyle of faith where there is a continual flow of His supernatural bounty.

Too often, we have allowed the pressures of life to intrude and trample upon our faith in ways that often leaves us hopeless and “faithless.” Hebrews 11:6 states “And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him” (NIV). We can unequivocally state that every commodity in the Kingdom of God is traded on the currency of faith. Faith is required to move mountains, overthrow demonic thrones, and dominions, receive healing, receive salvation, etc.  In fact, Luke 17:6 states, “The Lord answered, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea,” and it would obey you” (NIV).

The great news is that faith is “now.” Hebrews 11:1 state, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (NIV). What are you believing God for? What are you purchasing with your faith?

Accessing the realms of the supernatural is vitally important in this season because there are miracles, signs and wonders yet to be uncovered in our generation and we must get into faith to meet with God for the manifestations we seek. So, let’s go beyond fear, doubt, and unbelief, and allow faith to define our way forward. In addition to accessing the miraculous, faith can also benefit us in a variety of other ways such as increasing boldness, confidence, and courage. Faith also increases strength, helps us to discover our purpose, breaks open the way for solutions, helps us to conquer failure, unlocks our spiritual gifts, unlocks the door to intimacy with Jesus, helps us to win on the battlefield, makes us whole, and so much more.

I pray that you will strengthen yourself in the Lord and begin to see through the eyes of faith, all of the limitless possibilities that causes you to be a true conqueror. Remember, faith is “now.” Whatever you are believing God for, release your faith into it and see Him move quickly to bring it to pass on your behalf. He’s waiting to partner with you in the realms of faith and is extending an invitation to you. Will you accept or reject His invitation? He’s saying to you, “Accordioning to your faith, be it unto you” Matthew 9:29 (NIV).

Love and blessings to you,

Pastor Corine
